Similar carts used by the cooks in WW1, the men always congretated about to gather the latest news and gossip. Hence, in Aussie slangs, a rumour became known as a "Furphy" This water cart, built in 1920, is inscribed with "Good Better Best, Never let it rest, Till your Good is Better, and your Better Best" and also a shorthand inscription which translates to "Water is a gift from God, but beer is a concoction of the Devil, Dont drink beer."
