Description: Bushmen working near the Marrawah Tramline in Circular Head, Tasmania. They are about to load the logs onto a steam train. About nine men are involved and their horses are resting and waiting patiently in the rear. There were more than 30 spot mills scattered throughout the Circular Head forests from Montumana to Marrawah. Most of these mills were located in the vicinity of the Marrawah tramline with miles of private connecting tramways which were used to haul the logs to the main sawmills set up by the different sawmillers.
