Description: Black and white photograph of Squadron Leader Bert Hinkler's "Avian Circus" plane which landed at the Golf Course in Wynyard Tasmania 12th May 1928.The plane landed at about 1pm and Hinkler was accompanied by Mr.Thyne of the Launceston Aero Club (from Burnie only). Hinkler landed at several coastal towns prior to Wynyard. Complete story of coastal visit and social activities in the "Advocate" 14.5.1928.
